Transferring traditional knowledge on caribou and reindeer to Aboriginal youth

Researchers in Canada and Sweden are working with youth and elders from indigenous communities in both countries to gather traditional knowledge on caribou hunting and reindeer herding in boreal forest ecosystems. They are analyzing how climate change is impacting these activities. This project has highlighted the importance of young people reconnecting with elders and acquiring their knowledge.
