Introductory video to the IMFN

Over twenty years after its launch, the International Model Forest Network (IMFN) continues to make a significant contribution to the sustainable management of the world’s ecosystems and landscapes. With 60 sites in more than 30 countries, it is a growing and dynamic network where each Model Forest learns from its experiences and shares knowledge to address many global issues.

Working with Cuso International and the Model Forests, we have collected stories highlighting experiences and accomplishments from across the IMFN. Starting in September, the stories will be presented focusing on four themes: forest landscape restoration, biodiversity conservation and stewardship, collaborative management, and economic and human wellbeing. Climate change, food security and conflict resolution are also crosscutting themes in most of the stories.
You will be able to discover each story through short videos, fact sheets and podcasts on our website. Stay tuned to future issues of eNews or follow us on Twitter (@ModelForest) to learn when about our accomplishments as we release the stories.
We hope these stories will inspire and encourage you to further explore Model Forests, the IMFN and its accomplishments.
In the meantime, here is a short introductory video to the IMFN:
