McGregor–Russia Project Phase II

In March 2005, the McGregor Model Forest announced that it will continue its work in the Russian Far East. With about US $827,400 from the Canadian International Development Agency (approved March 22, 2005) and US $137,600 from the Russian government, the Model Forest will provide further development aid in wood-frame construction, and local governance training in the Russian state of Khabarovsk.

This project is the result of a collaborative effort between the McGregor Model Forest and its partners at the College of New Caledonia and University of Northern BC, and the Methodological Institute of Khabarovsk’s Department of Primary Professional Education.
